RE: cat 5 cabling - costing

Title: Message
I've bought mine (Cat 5e, solid, 305m) from Screwfix (about GBP 32 _incl_ VAT) and TLC-Direct (about GBP 34 incl VAT). Newey & Eyre also do it cheaply, and Tony posted a link in the last few weeks with one outfit selling it at GBP 23 plus VAT IIRC, dunno if that's still available. If you're desperate (i.e run out and need some more NOW), some branches of B&Q stock it too.

(P.S. Mark H - do I get two lots of commission ?? ;-)

Ahh.. right.. thanks.

Does anyone know of a reputable company that can supply me some CAT5 cable? (preferably a company that some of you lot have used..)

Regards

Jonathan

This is for stranded, you'd want solid to structured cabling.

Yep - it was for a 305m drum..

I thought it was about 25-30 too..

Damn insight... but my mate says that he can get me a 120gb maxtor disk for £100 - he works there.. not bad I think!

Jonathan.
