Yeah, I can't argue with that.  Only problem is, they cost money
(something
that HA'ers always never seem to have enough of...)  Still, that's
when that
old 486 in the loft comes in handy as a Linux firewall (oops, was told
not
to mention Linux :o>

As for Blackice Defender - I've read some bad reports on it (allowing
spyware to connect back to remote servers IIRC).

Hi Tony,

I tried this and didn't get on with it at all.  I can't remember
the
specifics of the problem, but it was something along the lines of not
being
able to set up open ports etc in advance of an attempt to use them and
then
when a program did try to use them, ZA didn't/couldn't pop up to ask if
it
was okay (May have been an online game I had the trouble with).
Tried Blackice defender too, another recommended piece of software, but
it
ust GPF'ed on me :(
