depends what you class as expensive.
I have a Pioneer Network CD Rom changer.
Main unit houses 6 cd's in a magazine, and has a hard drive for
caching of discs, or you can out images onto the drive. Interface is
webpage driven.
On top of that I have 4 external units which daisy-chain together,
so giving a total of 30 CD's in magazines, and either caching or
images on the in-built hard drive.
Works a treat, and doesn't cost that much, certainly much less than
building a pc, of virtually any description.
