Matthew, care to enlighten us with which switch that was? How you've got on
with it?

I'm getting more tempted by the day to go this route.

There is a pretty good summary/review of gigabit adapters here..(From
hardocp news page a while back)

Very techy, skip to the sumaries are at the end if you want to save time.

Also a few gigabit users hang out in the 2cpu.com forums.
