There are drivers for numerous capture cards (mainly BT878/879 based).
What is missing for a "clean" PVR solution is drivers for cards
with
hardward MPEG encoders - namely the WinTV PVR card........with such a
driver then there should be little CPU load in creating MPEG
recordings of analogue channels.
Also there *IS* a driver for the Nova-T DTT card for linux - this lets
you store DTT programmes as they are - no need for MPEG encoding as
they already are encoding...
