RE: ACE

Hi Kevin,

What I am trying to do is change the buttons appearance to indicate that
an item in now on or off, probably the icon in the case of a light and
maybe the colour as a form of standardisation throughout all the
buttons.

I would eventually like it to change all clients once I have decided if
it is worth buying, which I think it would be. I would like to install
it on my Fuji's.

I am trying to connect it to HomeVision if that helps?

I will have a look at the group you mention, thanks.

Any more pointers?

B.

Brian,

I can help on this - it is quite easy to do - are you wanting the
button to change state on just the client that the press occurs in or on
buttons on all connected clients - and is it just an icon change ??

ECS is not relevant to the problem - it provided a much lower level
of hardware interface and scriptability to ACE as it supported a vast
array of add on devices - ultimately this contributed to it's demise
although it is still used in it's last release version by many people.
One of ECS' key features was adding scheduling to ACE but I believe this
feature is going to appear for ACE shortly anyway.

There is a good mail list for ACE support as well (
ace-l@xxxxxxx <mailto:ace-l@xxxxxxx> ) which can help
on these things too.

Kevin
