Re: how does raid work
Real simple. Install the card, press the F3 key when it prompts you,
and
follow the simple menus. You just pick the two drives, select whether
you
want RAID 0 or 1, and then reboot. I did this before a clean install, so

installed the drivers are part of the w2k setup, but I'd have thought
it
would be picked up as new hard. Just slap in the driver disk, and the
mirrored drive appears as one drive. I was surprised how simple it

I bought the InnoVision AP-1680 IDE raid controller last week, along
with
two 40Gb drives. This card supports RAIR:
0 - striping
1 - mirroring
0+1 - striped/mirror (if you have four drives)
Installed perfectly into W2k server, and is now running my new firewall
and
Exchange Server. A very cheap solution (the card is only =A320), and
