It looks like I’ve finally decided on the

they are probably better known for the huge racks of plant room based
systems
that populate up-market hotels, but do sell a cut-down version for use in
domestic environments (8x5A circuits retail at 825 quid).
It can interface to anything that has an
“open”
serial protocol, so I’m after some suggestions as to which
‘proper’
alarm systems to look at (where the serial protocols are readily
available).
Likewise I may consider integrating to a heating
system (though given Mark’s experience with underfloor heating I may
just
set it and forget it! Has anyone looked at the Honeywell system? I’ve
been told that Crestron do an excellent system, but I do think that would
be
overkill in my case.
