Re: Re: hv ir tx photos

Hi Andy
Sorry for not replying last nite but it was 11:30pm and i had to
get up at 5:30 am for work . We are approx 9 hrs ahead here in Melbourne.
Im not sure how to put the file on site as you suggested (im not very
computer compliant) and Ian B has offered to convert it for me and send it
back, Thanks Ian so that sounds easier for me but i would still like to know
how to do it if you can help.

Before i sent the schematic off to Ian i want to check and make sure my
values are all ok and put some comments on it. I also want to do a schematic
for the Zone Splitter as there are resistors wired in series with the
sockets . I was also thinking of doing a schematic with just 1 Zone
showing it complete as the main drawing is simple but lot5s of lines and it
might be easier to grasp if you can see what 1 Zone circuit looks lite if
you get what i mean.
Ive just recieved the high speed optos so i am off to the shed to try
one on bread board first and hopefully i,ll be able to install it in the
prototype tonite.
With your circuit what value of resistor have you going into the base?
If being driven from 5v should be about 2k2 ....4k7 . I normally use 4k7 for
5v and 10k for 12v works for me. If your value is ok try putting larger
resistor in series with ir led say 470......680.
