Have
just
started on the schematic for the HV 8 Zone recieve mux to work in
conjunction
with the 8 zone tx unit . It will be based on my home brew unit with the
addition of the following, opto isolation of Homevision signals and a busy
led
on each reciever . The reason for the busy led is that only 1 receiver can
be
active at any one time as the signals are combined at the ir rx mux , so
when a
signal is recieved at the ir rx mux it will send a common busy signal to
All
(even the active zone) rx to indicate the
mux is busy decoding a current signal. This gives visual indication
to
some one in another room to wait until the ir rx mux is not busy before
sending
a command. I know this is not ideal but is easier to implement. Also each
rx
unit has a pulse stretcher signal which is used to let the mux know which
zone
is active and home vision can scan the mux to find which zone is active and
act
upon the signal. There will be also an ir repeater to txmit the signal to
homevision. I intend to use the same Port A pins for tx and rx mux
and
will only reqire 1 input pin on hv for active rx . I also have a yellow led
in
each reciever this indicates the rx has recieved a signal (actually
connected to
the pulse stretcher) was handy when trying to get the tx unit to work . If
anybody has any other ideas let me know.
