RE: Humidity Sensors

Title: Message

A man after my own heart!

Simple solutions, we like that…lots! ;)

I also want a humidity sensor or three, but I also want to be able to plug it into HV, write some code in the schedule and that’s it!

This looks superb, but I have an admission to make.

I am hopeless with electronics - nor am that interested in it. But I am very interested in HA. My application is extraction.

So where can I get  a humidity sensor which is ready to roll. The honeywell sensor looks like it would 'plug' straight into HV - ideal perhaps for my extractor fan sittuations?

Can anyone comment - or better still - provide me with a humidity sensor which doesn't requre me to write 50 lines of code or solder more than 3 wires.

You can request a free sample of the SHT11 humidity sensor

http://www.sensirion.com/en/sampling/default.htm

Datasheet

check here for a 1 wire PIC interface for the sht11

Hope these help
