Guys,

Thanks for the feedback. To sum up so far I have add the following to my list.

Pre Set dim Levels on each circuit.

Basic X10 status response and full status information from Web interface.

Secondary, x10 response with dim level to bogus/spare X10 address.

Also to confirm that each circuit would support different house/device codes.

Is there any use in using the extend x10 code where I can send an extra 2 byte of info. I guess any existing controller wouldn’t know what to do with it.

Thanks

Paul

Hi guys,

Thought you would like to know that I am well on the way to
sussing out a new project. Multi-Dimmer x10 controller with status
response and local control.

I have never done micro processing before, but the rabbit thing
is cool.

Any one think of anything else I should include. Can they let me know.

So far I have thought of the following.

Local control. On/off and dim/brighten. X10 response with on/off and dim
level. Separate switch inputs for dim/brighten.

Remote control. Responds to X10 on/off dim/brighten and status request.
Limited as X10 status response is only on/off not dim level.

Web Interface. Configuration and control.

Up to five circuits per module rated at 2.5Amps each.

To over come the limitation of being central to home, plan to develop
remote modules that require cat5 link.

Anything else ?

Regards,

Paul
