I know from experience that upgrading from 128 to 256Mb makes a big difference to Windows XP performance (especially if you tweak the cache settings). Does anyone have personal experience (rather than anecdotal evidence) of going from 256 to 512?

 

Is it worth doing? The only reason I ask is that I run a high FSB on my system, and as a result the memory needed to do this (2700DDR RAM) comes in at just over a hundred quid a stick).
