No real experiecne on the hardware side but just some food for thought

802.11a (Wi-Fi5)will not gain aproval in europe, due to issues with=20
interference with Satelite Uplink comms!

802.11h is the proposal for Europe which adds dynamic frequency and=20
power control to minimise interferrence, this was competing with the=20
European HiperLAN 2 (54mbit/s) standard which was effectively killed=20
off recently through lack of adoption.

Output Power levels vs frequency are as follows
5.15-5.25GHz USA 50mW indoor Europe 200mW indoor
5.25-5.35Ghz USA 250mW indoor/Outdoor Europe 200mW indoor
5.47-5.725GHz USA Not Spec'd Europe 1W indoor/outdoor
5.725-5.825GHz USA 1W indoor/outdoor Europe Not Spec'd

Apart from the regs side of things colleagues in the US are extremely=20
impressed with the systems capabilities, I'll try and find out what=20
they are using.
