It sounds very much like you've installed some software to your PC that has
overwritten some common files (MSVCRT.DLL) with older versions than were
already there.
The easiest solution is to try re-installing the HV or Powerchute software

which should then replace the files with the correct versions. If that
doesn't work. Try a google or Microsoft search for the files in question
and
download the newer versions. Preserve copies of the files you are
overwriting by copying them to another folder, just in case.
p.s. It's not particularly a Microsoft problem - it sounds as though the
setup program for the WiFi card software is being a bit dim.
