Can't help directly Tim, although I would appreciate something like it
myself.

I have a spinal problem which means from time to time, I get episodes of
blootering pain in my lower back, and bending down to get into the back of
the fridge is a real trial of endurance.. "how much do I *really* want
a
bacon sarnie...."

The reason I am posting is more to ask, is this even OT at all?

okay, we are not talking about a fridge with electronic smarts, but surely
the remit of the group should cover home *functionality* ?

Were we discussing polished stainless as against brushed aluminium
finishes,
thats possibly OT, but where it's the function and usage of home equipment,
surely that's square in the frame?

I think what I'm getting at is: is it time to explicitly word the group
charter/description to state that discussions of AV equipment, IT
networking, Appliance functionality, Self Build Qs, and all the various
"fringe" topics are an integral part of Home Automation?

Ian.

One of the many difficulties to overcome when you spend your life sitting
down it that it is really difficult to get into the back of cupboards.
There
are solutions from the "Disabled Living Foundation", but if I
said they
weren't aesthetically appealing it would be an understatement.

I've currently got a great built-in Neff fridge which has drawers instead
of
shelves (in a similar fashion to upright freezers), but the bastards have
gone and discontinued it! Anyone seen anything similar on their travels

Tim
