Stuart,
Thanks for your efforts anyway.
My point is that in order to make some forum popular, you need to cover as much people that are interested in topic as possible. Obviously, there are many people on Fuji group that are not willing to switch from mail based communication to web based. Last attempt of yours with previous web forum didn't succeed for the same reasons, I think. New engine, different colours etc. will not make much difference, I'm afraid.
My reasons are that I am hardly copying with current level of traffic and for sure, I'll have no time to go to web to check messages. It's slower and not that efficient.
Ideally, you should have some forum that will have both mail based and web based messaging like yahoo, but, so far we were not able to find any that's for free.
Please keep on trying.
Regards,
Nik

P.S.
Maybe if you ask John what's he using? It's not ideal, but maybe you can integrate it with your current, web based forum.

Nik,

At the end of the day it's very much down to personal preference.
I do understand that some people prefer e-mail, how ever it's not always
the best solution, eg my particualr gripe is that by using yahoo, we are
subject to a footer, which is often longer than the content of the
e-mail itself, consider the bandwidth this wastes when sent to ~500
poeple.

With regards the Fuji, site it's run on a best effort basis, and I have
no desire to integrate the yahoo group, I may look at maintaing an
archive of the yahoo group on the site but thats as far as it will go.

I do however still strive the elusive goal of a system that integrates
newsgroups, mailling lists and web based forums all into a single user
friendly system.

Regards

Stuart
