RE: Vinyl Beta

I also applied and they sent me bugger all!

Have you got a large collection of music? I wonder how it would cope
with many thousands of tracks?

A while ago I saw an item on the UK_HA site lookign for beta testers
for the Vinyl remote software for PDA control of media playback on
desktops. I applied and they sent me a copy!!
I just got it working and so far I like it!! It comes in 2 parts, a
server and a PDA component. You can point it to one or more music
folders on your desktop and then manage all your PC based music via
a wireless connection.
I have have it running on a ipaq 3970 with a symbol CF wireless card
and CF jacket. It all seems to work fine, but it is early days.
One cool feature is the album art which displays on the PDA during
playback.
