RE: X10 Questions
1. 1 minute after it last detected movement, i.e. the counter gets
reset
each time it sees something.
2. Yep, although you'll get a lot more flexibility by using something
like
Homeseer.
3. Nope, most UK modules do not support status polling.
4. I don't have any problems - my TM12 is on an extension, as are
various
modules. Power-smoothing/surge protected extension leads might
cause
problems though.

Subject: [ukha_d] X10 Questions
Hello,
I am just about to buy my first X10 units
but I have a few
questions.
1. The MS13 sensor units say they have a variable delay before sending
the
'Off' command. If you set the delay to 1 minute, does that mean that
the
light will switch off 1 minute after it has been activated or 1 minute
after
the person has left the room?
2. Can I get the MS13 to activate two different X10 units just by
setting
the two units to the same code?
3. Can the CM12U retrieve a status of each unit or do I need to buy a
TM13
as well as a CM12U?
4. Are there any problems using X10 units with or in extension leads?
Sorry if the questions are a bit obvious/simplistic, I just wanted to
make
sure about a few things before purchasing.
Thanks in advance,
Dave.
