Discrete Power
commands, yes.
However, there
are
other "binary state" commands that AREN'T typically available as discrete
commands. The one that I _regularly_ want, and can't have is discrete
"random /
non-randm", particularly on my MP3 players.
In that case,
the
lack of feedback makes an automated system impossible - I _need_ to know
the
state of the "random" toggle in order to do certain
things.
This isn't a
dig at
your application - rather at equipment manufacturers who haven't thought
through
the full command sets that might be required - too many manufacturers
assume
that their equipment will ONLY be used with their handset, but a user who
works
through THEIR command sequence.
