I guess it all goes back to the days when you needed to press TV, followed
by 3 to watch ITV.  When your watching sky (e.g. in SKY mode) the scart
switching is on, and it outputs say RGB.  If you press the TV button the
scart switching turns off and the RGB output also stops.  Sky pretends is
not there (like when you turn SKY off), but also allows you to control some
more TV features with the SKY remote.  Pressing the SKY button lets SKY take
back control of the remote and switches the Scarts on the TV.

The only time I ever use the TV button, is to RESET the Widescreen
switching.  If you press 'TV' followed by 'SKY' the scart switching goes on
and off, and resizes the ratio for me.  Other than that I only use the Power
button to turn sky off.

Generally I'd use my pronto, as this controls my AMP etc.  If you wife
doesn't like the pronto, issue her with both the SKY remote, and TV remote.
Tell her the 'TV button' on the SKY remote is dangerous!!
