Sorry if this is a repost, I cannot see my original message.
Ok I have a MP3 archive which will not fit on one physical drive, my
server is a w2k server box with 6 drives one of which is a removable
icydock, I have two physical disks with my archive on them, one is
mounted inside by 4U server the other is in the icydock, I need to
be able to swap out part of my archive rather than the other disks
because the others are full of work stuff, and I often get customers
w2k server disks which I have to mount to do work on.
SliMP3 requires all the mp3's to be off one directory. I can think
of two ways to do this both using w2k servers dynamic disk feature
1) span a drive letter over the two disks
2) mount the removable drive into the file system of the fixed disk.
Question is normaly dynamic disks would never be removed, what will
w2k server do if if remove the disk in either of the above
situations ?
