Many thanks for the replies.

Looks like the way to go is C-Bus DIN dimmers, DIN relay modules, and a
handful of those sexy Neo switches (which will also receive IR from
Pronto!)

I think (due to financial constraints) I may go for a part & part
system,
with the non-critical (i.e. bedrooms) lights/sockets being X-10
controlled,
and the living areas C-bus controlled.

And to answer Kevin's question - no, I don't have Comfort - but it's on
the
shopping list!
