That's the way it goes. The customer didn't intend on killing the
AudioTron but wanted the latest and greatest firmware (v3.0.1 beta). It
would cost us to return the unit to Danmark and, presumably, from
Danmark
to the U.S. Once repaired, a similar charge is applicable among the
distribution chain.
My understanding is that if the firmware is corrupted during the flash
upgrade process, the unit must be sent back to Turtle Beach for factory
reset. I believe that the flash EPROM is "surface mounted" on the
PCB and
cannot be changed.

As you have mentioned before, the flashing process going wrong is
relatively rare so please don't have nightmares.
