Yes, it is a Linux PC in essence.

Yes, add a turbonet card and you can use it on a normal LAN.

Yes, you can get a command prompt using the turbonet card (best way) or
by a serial link.

I copy to DVDR, the Philips DVDR 880 as it's easy though you can extract
to a PC using the turbonet.
