RE: ISDN

I had used a Speedway (Fritz) card & ICS on my home network initially.
However, when using BT Internet Anytime, I found I quite often needed to do
multiple redials to get connected.  On occasions, the connection did not
seem to get established.

I now use a Network Alchemy ISDN Router / PBX which has the advantage that
it connects reliably and allows me to automatically manage the 12 hours a
day usage limit on BTI (now looking for another ISP since I use more than
150hrs / month).  The advantage I find with the router is that "it just
works" with minimal interference from me... dials on demand, tears down
connections, bonds channels as required, allocates IP addresses, does NAT,
does port routing.

If you have a PC permanently on, just buy a BT Speedway card, and use
Windows ICS.
