Roomba charging
Guys
I've just been talking to one of the semi-techies where I work, and he
thought that to find a 240v charger that would work the same as a 110v
equivalent isn't quite as simple as it sounds.
The one from CPC is regulated, and the battery type for Roomba is NiMH,
which, AFAIK, is suited to a regulated supply. If it was lead-acid,
then I
think that an unregulated supply would be better.
Can anyone see any issues with replacing a 110v/24VDC 400ma with a
240v/24VDC 400ma?
Pete
BTW, the rapid charger is multi-voltage - input 90-264VAC 47-440Hz,
output
24VDC 1A. Maybe that's the easiest option?
