I have Hauppauge PCI for a few years now, and never used it propperly. I
couldn't get a decent picture.
Tried it on a few machines (all of them AMD) and I'm still getting like
some stripes in a picture. It's described in FAQ that it's caused by
bandwidth of Via chipset... I tried all kinds of drivers, and never made
it look properly.
Shame, because it was supposed to be one of the best at that time.

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] Recommendations for TV/Radio pci/usb
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend either pci or usb tv/radio
cards/adapters for use in my 'CarPuter' project, please?
The device(s), if usb, need to draw their power from the usb2.0 bus -
rather
than external power.
I only have room for a single pci card.
I did consider one of those hauppauge FTA usb boxes, but very doubtful I
could get a good enough aerial in the car for FTA!
Given the low speed of the mobo (933mhz) and running xp, I'm guessing
the tv
card probably needs to be pci?
DAB Radio would be nice, though.
Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Tony T
