Hi all,

I'm need to buy a couple of radial capacitors but am unsure as to what
some=
of the specs mean. I know I need a 25V, 2200=B5F unit but what about leaka=
ge current ?

The specs quote figures like: leakage current: 0.01CV or 4=B5A=20

Now I understand =B5A (i.e. amps / 1,000,000) but what is the 0.01CV
figure=
? I assume the lower the leakage current the better, but is this always th=
e case (this is for audio equipment) ?

Temperature ratings: does the higher temperature rating adversely affect
th=
e capacitor's operation, or affect it's performance ? Or is replacing a
low=
er temperature one with a higher temperature rating just a bit of overkill
=
/ extra safety margin ?

TIA,

Tim H.
