FW: run as a service

Brian,

About 12" down the page are downloads for INSTSRV and SRVANY, you need
both.

Then under 'Here are the steps' you need, IIRC steps 1,2,3 and 4.

Replace the FaxMailSrv with what you want to run.

Basically, InstSrv installs SrvAny as a service, with then runs the progs
that you need (as services).

HTH

Lee

Well hello Lee.

Had a look at the link below but did not find the tutorial...

Did I miss something?

I sent a rather good joke to my friends from work today but I did not cut
the punch line....

Old age don't you know....

Subject: [ukha_d] run as a service

Hi all,

I was trying to access my system today from work and had to re-boot my
home server then could access nothing!

I forgot that ACE, HV and other bits do not start till I log onto the
server....forgot that...

So, is there anyway I can run these programs as a service? I am sure I
have done this before but not too sure.

Alternatively can I enter them into the Run entry in the registry?

Any other ways so I do not get caught out again?

Thanks all.

B.
