I did this recently to enable Tivo to have it's own dedicated Sky box
(stops SWMBO from stuffing up Tivo's recordings by changing the channel
directly on the Sky box).

You just need a dual or quad LNB (might as well go for the quad for
future expansion) and an extra digibox - I picked up a Sony s760 from
eBay (the one with the optical sound output).

You can then get an extra viewing card from Sky for £12 a month which
duplicates your existing subscription. (I offset this cost by getting a
third viewing card and allowing my neighbour to connect his digibox to
my dish for £24 a month, but don't tell Sky that :))

Cheers,

Martyn

Hi

This is probably a basic one so apologies!

What do you need to add an extra Sky box? Is the only option to pay Sky
their ridiculous fee or is their another way?

It would be going in node o with the other box.

I was planning to pick up a box of ebay?

Do I need two runs from the dish? Or can I split at Node '0'?

I guess I need another viewing card?

Many thanks in advance.

Rob
