only if you know that box will never go on live.  they use the mac address
as well as your nickname, and box serial number to identify you.  thats why
you're best stealing the address from a cheap network card.  there are also
several people who will sell you a serial number or a complete rom dump

box.  i have two in that situation, one is a linux box and the other is
only a media player.  neither will EVER see live.
