Can you not get different colour temperature HV halogen? I know you can get
a wide variety of LV halogen with filtered glass for different applications
giving a range of CT.

Have Clipsal not recommended a bigger dimmer, rather than the small
multichannel din rail (1A / 2A) dimmers?  A single L5101D20 dimmer
will eat your 300W load for breakfast, but may or may not solve the
buzz.  But it is a CBus component, and would let you keep your LV
halogens and hiwire.

I'd do almost anything to avoid using HV halogens; I find their
colour temperature horrible!
