In my experience the warranty is a year from the date on your receipt.
Personally I think you're right - it *should* be a year from the date
of the replacement, but I think that it counts as 'repair' and
therefore isn't covered by the original purchase warranty in the same way.

But...I still have a couple of weeks left, and hopefully using an
Enegry Efficient bulb in them will at least reduce the frequency with
which they have to be replaced.
