This is what the adapters convert :

RJ45 Pin		BT6L Pin
1		to	3
2		to	4
3		to	6
4		to	2
5		to	5
6		to	1
7n/c
8n/c

Basically to get the line you need pins 2 and 5 from the BT plug/socket
to go to pins 4 and 5 on an RJ45. Can't remember which one picks the
ring up pin 3 or 4 on the BT.

Hi,
I have been in the same boat with this one :) We (our company) used to
be able to get an inline converter that had a BT plug attached to an
'inline block' that had a standard RJ45 socket in it, the idea being -
plug the BT 'tail' into socket, use a standard patch lead to take it up
to the panel.

Then the company that we got them from stopped doing it - what a bum!

and not knowing / "having the time to get"  the pin outs to make
a lead
