Cool!!!!
I just sent the following email to Mario but maybe you know some of the
answers?....
I didn't know you were developing this :-) I'm currently using Vinyl from
PocketWerks - I presume you evaluated this?
I quite like Vinyl but their support and response to customer requests is
appalling :-( With your great service, your new product is very tempting.
However, before I ditch Vinyl I'd like to know a bit more about MusicLobby
PPC.
1. Do you have a trial version available?
2. Does it work along side MusicLobby (so you can control the music from
multiple sources - PPC, HTPC, touchscreen etc)?
3. Will it be able to control multiple zones (i.e. separate software
running on multiple sound cards)?
4. My music collection stands at 50,000 MP3's !!! (220Gb) Vinyl handles
this well and quickly - what's the performance of MusicLobby like?
5. Is there a search facility (Vinyl does not have this and this is a big
problem)?
6. My HA server runs W2K Server - exactly what software needs to run on
this and is it compatible?
7. Very exciting :-)
Paul.

Some of you may have been following the Lobby suite from Cinemar
(MainLobby, MusicLobby, etc.).
Mario and Dan have just released the pocket pc version of MusicLobby
which works in conjunction with Media Center 9 from J River.
I have the full suite - inc. a beta (very stable) version of
MLserver which allows very easy client/server management & control
of all Lobby products (as well as many plugins for X10, Matrix
Orbital, homeseer (coming soon) as well as load of other supported
windows commands, and of course brilliant Girder plug-in.
I have just replaced one of my Crestron touch-screen's with a
shuttle pc and a CTX 15" touch lcd, the look is visually stunning
and it all works fine (working with a Slinke). Also have it working
off a smart display (10" airpanel) it looks really good.
Anyway here is the link to the cinemar web site:
http://www.cinemaronline.com/index.html
I am sure Mario will do press release to Mark for inclusion on the
site.
