Excellent looking stuf, but definitely falls into my 'pant-wettingly'
expensive bracket.

I'm hoping to use 1 x Russound SP650.1 flush wall which come in around
=A3210+Vat a pair for the false chimney. And SP632.1 for the ceilings
which are again =A3210+Vat a pair, and I'm happy I can get them at trade
prices which is quite a bit less.

I think my vision of 'pant-wettingly' expensive is probably a lot lower
than most.

Dean.

http://www.artcoustic.com/ do
some 'picture frame' speakers that are
flat like NXT stuff, but use more traditional technology (and in my
opinion sound better for it). But you can cover them in anything - bold
or bland. They sound great too, when supported by a decent sub, but
might be considered "pant-wettingly" expensive? Each of the two
left &
right speakers that are about the size of a 42" plasma are about a
grand, and the 7-way thin centre is just over a grand. The centre can
be tri-wired as L-C-R while you save up for the other two, if you want!

Anyway, there's a hi-fi shop in the centre of maidenhead where you can
hear them, and also one in Wokingham, I think. Sure there are plenty of
others too, but they'll tend to be the more top end shops.

For the rears, M&K do some good sounding speakers that can be ceiling
mounted, for about =A3300 each. Pricy, but not quite as pricy as those
=A3800 Sonances that I now have to hear before deciding I can't afford
them :-)

Dean,

Re: your centre speaker, NXT Acoustic Picture Panels may be what you're
after: This one's a bit small,
http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=3Dcpc+catalogue&;
category%5Fname=3D&product%5Fid=3D252855
These are bigger
http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=3Dcpc+catalogue&;
category%5Fname=3D&product%5Fid=3D260861

Haven't heard these speakers so can't vouch for quality.

HTH,

Tim H.
