Tape devices don't usually show up as an actual "drive" under
"My
Computer" - you generally need software to talk to them and to copy
files to
/ retrieve files from them.
Can't remember whether Windows 2000 still comes with the "Backup"
application but you may well find that that sees it (might not know how to
control it though).
