Hi Brian,

Go to www.pcplus.co.uk and search for CAD in the download area and grab a
copy of InteliCAD 2000. It is free and compatible with Autocad and works
very similar to it. I was able to use it straight away. Even has the same
command line input.

Doesn't do 3D to the same extent as Autocad but does some simple stuff

Can anyone recommend an alternative to AutoCad please?

I have been using AutoCad 200 for a while now but after a reinstall it now
says "30 day trial expired" I have looked to upgrade it but the
prices are
way too high for creating a floor plan!

I am told there are other packages that can do what I want but do not know
what is good/bad.

Anyone have experience?
