I was looking around a while ago and situation still looks the same -
they
cost about ?200+VAT, which is now more expensive then buying new TFT
monitor.
I plan to have two servers, both in Edenrack with ViaEpia motherboards.
For
keyboard and mouse switching, I can use RF wireless keyboard and mouse,
I
bought from Dabs recently for less then ?20. They have a switch for
switching RF channel, so I can use that switch for switching between
servers. And when I don't need them, I can put keyb and mouse anywhere.
I
can even use them on my workstation. Very cheap and effective solution.
The other idea is to use USB keyboard and mouse, because Edenrack has
USB
ports on front, so when I need it, i just plug keyb and mouse to server
I
want to control.
Again, cheap solution, but I have to check, because I never used USB
keyboard and mouse before.
So the only problem is video. I saw some Belkin video only extender,
for
?34+VAT, but I don't see what kind of cable it requires and do I need one
or
two units (one on each end).
