Just an update.

I have a couple of spare TIVOs which I intended to use as CCTV recorders. I=
thought I might have to subscribe at =A310 per month to maintain their
functionality.

However I have found that you can do manual recordings anytime, although yo= u
do get nag screens.

You can record around 27 hours in Medium quality, which for me is fine.
Basic Quality is not good enough though.

I set mine on regular 1 hour manual recordings which overwrite themselves once space is required. I will update the hard disks soon so I can have mor= e
recording time.

I cant get the TIVOs to work with a multiplexer though. It appears because<= BR> TIVO encodes/compresses the images, they cannot be replayed properly via a<= BR> multiplexer.

The ultimate will be to network them so footage can be archived, but all in=
good time ...

Umar
