Hi,
This is quite Off Topic but I will probably have some sort of X10
switching of the power to the unit so there is a tenuous link!
My main bathroom is on the ground floor - the hot water tank is next to
this bathroom.
I have an en-suite bathroom above the hot water tank on the first
floor.
The cold water tank is above this in the attic.
Hot & cold water pressure on the ground floor is fine - I have a
standard shower that's great and does not need a boost.
Water pressure in the 1st floor en-suite shower is crap - you need to
run around to catch the drops.
While in B&Q today I was looking at some pumps and power showers but
the
instructions all showed a shower level with or below the hot water
tank.
I have "positive pressure" in the cold supply as it's flowing
down from
the attic.
But if I fit a pump in the en-suite bathroom I'll be "sucking" up
the
hot water from down stairs.
The same would also be true if I replaced the shower unit with a
"power
shower".
Is it OK to do this or will it cause air locks and other nasty
stuff...?
I assume someone somewhere has a similar set up?
TIA.
Anthony.
