Re: Pet Immune PIR detectors - advice needed!



Hi

I am an alarm installer, but i don't usually do residential
properties.   However, the guy i buy security equpment off has two
rottweilers and he doesn't have a PIR in the room that they stay in
when he's out.   According to him there is no such thing as a pet
immune PIR regardless of what manufacturers call them.   Personally i
don't know but to be sure why not use a different type of detection
in the room concerned?   Break glass detectors for example?   If not
then angle the detector so it coverage pattern is above the height of
your dogs?
