Rob,

xAP's like any other product / standard. There is a phase where it's
only of interest to network / protocol architects...

... Then there's a phase where developers get hold of it and start
playing with it

... Then there's a phase where those developers start releasing
applications that use it

I'm guessing that you're more interested in Phase 3 :-)

The good news is that we're well into Phase 2, and some developers have
started releasing applications that use xAP.

This is all running a lot faster than I'd envisaged. I'd kind of
thought
that we'd have a "first show of xAP in action" at UKHA2003. By
the
sounds of things, several of the atendees may have xAPped their houses
weeks before the event.

This sounds fantastic Kevin. You software designers make my blood boil
with envy :-)

I can't see how anyone would not want these additional features if
available and simple (For us non-gifted types.) to install and
configure. I have to be honest this is the key reason why I have not
looked too closely at x-AP as yet as it all seems a bit out of my
league.

I have an Audiotron! My only problem is my tron is in Node '0'
controlled by my multi-room pre-amp via IR. So I won't be able to see
the messages :-( Can someone develop a low cost extension to the
display
please? (Oh me of small requests!) Or find a way for a SLiMP3 to be
used
for this purpose? These units are SO small, functional and subtle, but
I
just don't need local sound output :-(

P.S. Are we going to get the same functionality on a C-bus touch screen
when you've done the interface?
