GFI Languard is a good free LAN scanner as well.

Look for "nessus".
It needs a unix box to run the actual tests, but will check far more
potential vulnerabilities than any other freely-available testing tool
I've seen.
If you don't have a unix box, contact me off-list and I might be able
to
run it from here.
