Of course getting the cabling is the easy part - programming all the
kit
to talk to each other takes months ;)

Did you go for a digital or analogue meter? Analogue is better as I
believe the digital ones are too sensitive and are difficult to get a
good reading (whereas the analogue needle, due to the laws of physics,
has some damping). And they're cheaper.
The Avia disc has everything you could want, from picture tests to
sound
patterns and speaker/sub crossover tests.
