Dual-connecting PIR's?

Chaps,

It it feasible to connect the SAME PIR to two controllers?

I currently have PIR's all over the house, connected to Comfort. I have
Homeseer & Patricks Comfort plugin passing the PIR triggers into
Homeseer. I 
also have the Homeseer Ocelot plugin passing the same triggers into the
Ocelot...

The multiple hops to get the PIR triggers into the Ocelot introduces too
much delay for my liking, and is also rather too dependent on too many 
software components as well... I'd like to bypass all that and connect the
PIR's directly to inputs on the Ocelot using a couple of spare cores in
each 
PIR cable..

I was thinking that I'd only connect the N.O. contacts to Ocelot inputs.. -
Comfort Supplies 12V to each PIR on one pair of cores, and has the zone
contacts on another pair.

However, if I connect the N.O contacts to the Ocelot, would I then be 
coupling the Ocelot and Comfort electrically? - do I need to ensure that
the 
isolation  - perhaps a diode in the additional pair back to the
Ocelot?

Also, Comfort has all it's PIR's set up in DEOL mode, will tapping onto the
N.O. contacts affect the resistance and upset Comfort?

As you might notice, electronics is not my forte!! - so please keep any
answers nice and simple!
