Disk manufactures always use 1000 as the multiplier instead of 1024.
Windows reports the space in normal MB i.e. with the 1024 multiplier so you
always get 97.6% of what you think you should have ((1000*1000) /
(1024*1024)*100 so 180Gb (Disk Specs)*97.6% = 171Gb

or,

KB = 1024 bytes

* 1024

MB = 1048576 bytes

* 1024

GB = 1073741824 bytes

* 180

= 193273528320 bytes on a 180gig disk

/ 1024 = 188743680 MB on a 180gig disk
