RE: Wireless (802.11b) Development Kits

Robert,

=20

I haven=92t received it yet, but I have ordered the dev kit from iosoft,
via crownhill, their uk distributor. I am mainly interested in using it
here in the cybernetics department as a replacement for 433Mhz
transceivers we use for small mobile robotics, but I am also interested
in the design for use in home appliances/HA. I=92m sure there are many
applications for this technology now that pcmcia cards have hit =A330 mark
(http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=3DUFNTaG93UmVzd

I will post again when I have had chance to have a play=85

Hi,

Has any of our resident hardware developers looked at 802.11b kits ???
A scan of the archive (http://www.ukha-archive.com)
revealed this from
one from IOSoft:

http://www.crownhill.uk.com/product.php?prod=3D380

And further snooping with Google also showed up this one from Troy:

http://www.troygroup.com/wireless/products/wireless/etherwindplus.asp

And this one from Ubisoft:

http://www.ubicom.com/solutions/devkits/development_kits.html

Anyway, before I go contacting them all about their kits - anyone got
any experience to add (apart from the fact that they're all probably
going to be rather costly !!)

Cheers,
Rob
