Hi Wayne,

The hardware side is easy. I will be using an Atmel AVR and some serial
code
with a TCP server on the same machine as Shoutcast. All easy it is just the
time I need to find to build it and programme it all. As some of the other
software/hardware guys know, this is something we have very little of.

I've just been checking out the winamp site - If you go to the V2 link and
plug ins - http://classic.winamp.com/plugins/

just stick "remote" in the search box - theres loads - control
from a palm
pilot, over the lan with a browser, take your pick :)

Cant help you out on the hardware side - but am sure some of the other
chaps
here can jump in :)
